Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to enhance sales opportunities.
  • Manage deliveries according to the routing schedule and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the order process.
  • Communicate effectively to collect accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments based on approved credit terms.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities using market intelligence databases and networking.
  • Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitor offerings, sharing valuable insights with customers.
  • Travel regularly to meet with existing customers and prospects, ensuring product delivery and support, including lifting/carrying items of up to 75 lbs.
Working Relationships:
  • Collaborate internally with the District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, VP of Local Sales, and other departments.
  • Engage externally with customers, vendors, and prospective clients.
Work Environment:

You will spend a significant amount of time outside the office, visiting clients in varying weather conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
  • Experience in the foodservice industry, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with strong presentation abilities.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and make cold calls to develop new business.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Competitive spirit with a results-driven mentality.
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • A team-oriented mentality for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office and experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools like Salesforce.
Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Licenses:

Valid driver's license is required, and a good standing motor vehicle record is essential.

Physical Qualifications:
  • Must be able to perform physical activities, including:
  1. Standing and walking frequently.
  2. Driving a vehicle frequently.
  3. Lifting/carrying weights from 1-75 lbs. as needed.
  4. Occasionally stooping, squatting, kneeling, bending, and reaching.
