Position Summary:

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for growing the company's

customer base and revenue within an assigned territory. This role focuses on developing new

builder relationships while supporting and expanding existing accounts. The representative will

promote complete post-frame building packages and components, including trusses,

columns, metal panels, trim, insulation, and specialty offerings such as barndominium packages

and the framing system. Success in this role is built on earning customer trust through

industry expertise, personalized service, and a commitment to helping builders grow their

businesses.

Essential Functions

  • Grow sales and market share in the assigned territory by selling a portfolio of post- frame materials and services to contractors and builders.
  • Assist in developing and executing a strategic sales plan that aligns with the company objectives, including acquiring new customers and increasing the existing accounts
  • Build strong relationships by understanding builders' needs and providing solutions through value-added offerings.
  • Partner with internal teams-estimating, customer service, production, & delivery-to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, training events, and customer meetings.
  • Continuously monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and adjust sales strategies.
  • Stay up to date on product knowledge, construction trends, and business practices relevant to post-frame builders.
  • Travel regularly to meet with customers, prospects, and attend industry events in your territory.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience; construction or building materials background strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing a sales territory, developing new business, and meeting revenue goals.
  • Working knowledge of post-frame or pole barn construction is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel frequently.
  • Passion for helping builders grow successful businesses and thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced industry.
