The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preparing and cooking teppanyaki-style dishes, showcasing their culinary skills in front of guests.

As a Teppanyaki Chef, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience through interactive and entertaining cooking techniques.

You will need to demonstrate a high level of expertise in handling various ingredients, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.

Your role will also involve engaging with guests, explaining the dishes, and providing a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and cook teppanyaki-style dishes in front of guests.
  2. Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of high quality.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized cooking station.
  4. Engage with guests and provide an entertaining dining experience.
  5. Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
  6. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of dishes.
  7. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
  8. Stay updated with the latest culinary trends and techniques.
  9. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
  10. Handle special dietary requests and food allergies with care.
  11. Ensure consistency in taste and presentation of dishes.
  12. Manage time efficiently to handle multiple orders simultaneously.
  13. Participate in menu planning and development.
  14. Conduct regular equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  15. Adhere to all restaurant policies and procedures.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
  1. Proven experience as a Teppanyaki Chef or similar role.
  2. In-depth knowledge of teppanyaki cooking techniques.
  3. Excellent knife skills and hand-eye coordination.
  4. Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Creativity and a passion for culinary arts.
  8. Ability to entertain and engage with guests.
  9. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  10. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  11. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  12. Team player with a positive attitude.
  13. Formal culinary training or certification is a plus.
  14. Ability to handle constructive criticism and continuously improve.
  15. Proficiency in handling kitchen equipment and tools.
