Job Description

This position serves the needs of the members, the staff and the club as well as to drive results, retention and revenue in the tennis department. The schedule includes nights and weekends.
Duties/Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:
  • Instruct tennis to juniors and adults through private, group or weekly clinics.
  • Foster a high level of staff communication to ensure good morale, cooperation and teamwork.
  • Follow up with concerns and suggestions, calling members within 48 hours.
  • Cancel all lessons within 24 hours.
  • Communicate, understand, respond and resolve conflict with the customer consistent with business objectives and sound business practices.
  • Project a professional, ethical, and efficient image of the organization to customers, employees and the public through high standards of business conduct and appearance.
Other Job Functions:
  • Communicates problems/concerns/complaints from members to the tennis manager on a daily basis.
  • Have timesheets submitted in a timely manner.
  • Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Job Qualifications:
  • A commitment to and belief in the organization's shared values.
  • One year of customer service experience.
Desired Job Qualifications:
  • United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) or United States Professional Tennis Registry (USPTR) certification.
  • CPR and first aid certification
  • Two years experience instructing tennis.
