David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA) is currently seeking a
Temporary Receptionist/Support Services Specialist to support our engineering and corporate services office in
Portland, OR. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality administrative support and front office service in a fast-paced professional environment.
This is a
temporary, full-time, in-office role and will support various administrative and support services functions.
Reception / Support Services Functions: - Answering and directing calls on a multi-line phone system
- Greeting and assisting visitors to the Portland office
- Assisting with mail distribution, filing, and other office support tasks
- Preparing and maintaining letters, documents, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
- Completing a variety of administrative tasks such as:
- Preparing expense reports and processing invoices
- Coordinating employee gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, and new babies
- Preparing vendor reports and supporting vendor management
- Filing documentation with state agencies
- Setting up conference rooms and equipment for meetings and videoconferences
- Assisting Human Resources with administrative support
- Coordinating communication and service requests with the Regional Business Service Leader
- Supporting internal communications and employee services
Basic Qualifications: - Ability to work on-site from 8:30 am-5:30 pm, Monday through Friday
- 1-2+ years of experience in an administrative assistant or customer service role
- Proficiency in answering and routing calls on a multi-line phone system
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies (e.g., Microsoft SharePoint, ADP)
