First (Days) Overview:
Sentara is hiring a TEMPORARY Customer Service Representative for the Laboratory Billing Services Department. Estimated 4-6 month temporary assignment.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
One year of healthcare experience.
Experience with medical insurance in a hospital or physician's office setting, specifically Laboratory registration and insurance verification preferred
EPIC EMR experience preferred
Data entry skills
Must be available for hire within two weeks
The position is located in Norfolk, VA or could be remote - work from home is available only in these states:
Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington (state), West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming
This is a Temp full-time day shift position Mon-Fri between the hours of 7:00am-6:30pm est.
Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for data entry of Laboratory Requisitions, insurance verification, and medical record reconciliation.
Provide quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education.
Responsible for all areas of customer service as it pertains to research and resolution of lab orders.
High volume of data entry within computerized EPIC EMR system.
Accountable for accurately and completely obtaining required information in the verification process, ensuring the correct patient and procedure requested, and diagnosis codes.
Responsible for order entry process, communications, guest relations, medical record maintenance/analysis, and various clerical duties within scope of role.
