Motion Picture Industry Pension and Health Plans (MPI) is seeking Temporary Clerk to support our Contribution Processing department. This assignment reports to the Manager of Contribution Processing and is responsible for the research and reconciliation of Employers' accounts.

Please note, this assignment works onsite in our office in Studio City, CA. Qualified candidates only, please submit letter of interest with resume and salary requirements for consideration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Employer Statement reviews and reconciliations
  • Prepare schedules and reports based on reconciliation findings
  • Research Employers' accounts for discrepancies
  • Reconcile the balance forward of Employer's accounts
  • Navigate and perform tasks across multiple applications and data systems
  • Prepare billing and/or credit requests as needed
  • Perform routine to complex accounting functions, following appropriate procedures for accurate and timely preparation.
  • Handle special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4 years accounting experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or equivalent experience required
  • Ability to understand and apply basic accounting principles and have strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills required
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude.
  • Ability to learn and perform tasks across multiple applications and data systems
  • Self-Starter, well organized with strict attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and has effective time management skills
  • Able to learn quickly and follow directions precisely
  • Reliable, responsible, able to work with minimum supervision
  • Able to handle fast-paced work, follow through to completion of tasks and meet deadlines
  • Able to work well with management and co-workers; supportive of both management and co workers. Able to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • A flexible team player with a positive, cooperative, and helpful attitude and willingness to assume additional duties as needed; displays excellent collaboration skills
  • Pleasant interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with others
  • Clear, articulate, professional and effective verbal communication skills
  • Strong written communication skills, excellent grammar and spelling required
  • Proficient in PC skills, including windows; MS Word and MS Excel required
  • Accurate typing skills of 45 wpm; 10-key by touch
  • Excellent attendance/punctuality record required with the ability to work overtime/extended hours as required.
  • Ability to accept direction and developmental guidance from supervisor
  • Ability to adhere to organizational values
