University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Department: Colorado Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CCTSI) Job Title: Temporary CCTSI Nutrition Core Kitchen Tech This is a Temporary position limited to no more than 9-months. Job Summary: This is a temporary hourly position in the Nutrition Core of the Colorado Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CCTSI) which provides research and training infrastructure as well as core technology resources designed to enhance clinical and basic sciences, promote research excellence, and train the next generation of clinical/translational scientists. Key Responsibilities: Uses standardized methods to cook and prepare foods used in metabolic meals. Diet weighing and production Proper food storage, handling, and preparation based on federal, state and local nutritional standards and guidelines. Labeling of containers for diet production Kitchen standard maintenance and cleaning duties Scheduling and prioritizing diet production and dispensation Inventory control and ordering of supplies to maintain PAR levels Data entry Preparation of diet analysis reports for investigators Work Location: Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado. This position requiring 3 - 5 hours/day of work Monday through Friday during business hours (preferably morning hours). Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Must be ServeSafe certified Must be able to lift and carry up to 20lbs. and twist, reach, and bend to perform cleaning duties. Must be able to work independently following training.
