Experience:


• 24 months of role experience is required from any number of months.


• 24 months of Telemetry Float Pool experience is required from last 4 years.

Requirements:


• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).


• This role may require floating to additional units and locations


• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.


• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.


• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Guaranteed Hours 36

Shifts: 7-7.

First to float:

  • Floating is required. Depending on skill level, nurses will float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, as well as all Tele units, MedSurg, any & every holding area (this could be in the Cath Lab, ER, observation floor, even a hallway) They staff the observation floor 1st, then the other units. Floating would include between Chandler & Mercy Gilbert campuses. Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start.
  • Floating to different units mid-shift can happen. Rare to float to another campus within a single shift, but possible. The distance between the 2 campuses is 9 miles. Depending on traffic takes 15 minutes. All interstate. Must clock-out when leaving one campus then clock-in when arrive at the other campus.

Must be able to titrate cardiac drips

Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam PRIOR TO SIGNING CONTRACT (2 MAX ATTEMPTS), within 48 hours of offer. If traveler fails, they will be sent home and made a DNU for 6 months for CSH AZ and CSH Sac regions

There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation. If traveler fails Sim, they will be sent home and made a DNU for 6 mo

Tele B3A

  • Unit: CV Tele B3A
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
  • Floating: To similar or lower acuity.
  • Beds :32 bed
  • Ratios: 1:3-4
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Post Cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, general tele. Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine to titrate down ONLY. No pediatrics, 15 y/o and older.
  • Tele: Centralized tele. RNs must be able to interpret EKGs.

Tele Neuro

  • Unit: A3 Neuro
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
  • Beds: 28 bed
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Neuro post surgical, post cranis, spine, CVAs post TPA.

Medical-Surgical C5

  • Unit: MedSurg C5
  • Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4 week period (days - Sat, Sun, nights - Fri, Sat). One major and minor holiday.
  • Floating: Float to MedSurg Tele B2C and B2D
  • Beds: 32 beds. Ortho, Surgical, Oncology
  • Ratios: 1:4 ratio days and nights.
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: 80% Surgical, 20% Oncology. Ortho - JHACO certified knee and hip program. 8-10 elective knee/hips per week. Other - Urological, Abdominal, Whipple, Women's surgeries (no OBGyn).

Medical-Surgical B2C

  • Unit: MedSurg B2C
  • Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4 week period (days - Sat, Sun, nights - Fri, Sat). One major and minor holiday.
  • Floating: Float to MedSurg Tele C5 and B2D
  • Beds: 29 beds
  • Ratios: 1:4 ratio, days and nights
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: General MedSurg patients that require tele. Amio, Cardizem to titrate down only.
