Job Description As a Telecommunications Technician you will analyze complex local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating and configuring operating systems and protocol suites for virtualized and containerized systems.
Other Responsibilities as a Telecommunications Technician will include:
- Resolving difficult interoperability problems to obtain operation across host, hypervisor and guest nodes.
- Load and configure cloud servers and vendor (eg Cisco, Juniper) or white box routers and switches
- Support the acquisition of hardware and software and subcontractor services.
- Act as a technical project leader or provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active TS/SCI+FSP Clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Experience with conducting integration and system level testing of telecommunications systems or platforms
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper or equivalent networking equipment
- Experience with VMWare, QEMU, KVM, or Docker
- Experience with Linux or OpenStack
- Knowledge of telephony and telecommunication
- Knowledge of networking services
- Knowledge of software defined networking
What Will Set You Apart - RHCSA preferred
- Cisco CCNA or equivalent preferred
