Job Overview:
The Project Manager is responsible for leading designated projects across all phases, with a primary focus on project finances, schedules, and coordination across a broad, cross-functional project team. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with Crown Castle's codes of conduct, policies, and procedures. The Project Manager will manage customer orders, track progress, resolve issues, mitigate risks, and ensure effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of project management principles, including Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Translate customer orders into actionable projects using CCI Project Management tools and applications.
- Understand the customer's scope of work, goals, timelines, and expected run rates.
- Develop and manage resource plans, ensuring the required resources are allocated to meet project demands and timelines.
- Participate in customer meetings as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Crown Castle.
- Project Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track and report project status against commitments, ensuring customers and stakeholders are regularly updated.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or risks, ensuring they are addressed before escalating.
- Maintain accurate and timely data in both Crown Castle and customer systems, enabling the creation of clear, actionable reports.
- Financial Management:
- Take ownership of the financials for assigned projects, ensuring all projects are completed within the allocated budget.
- Track expenses and report on financial variances, working with internal teams and stakeholders to manage costs effectively.
- Manage scope creep and change requests in alignment with the customer contract and Crown Castle's processes.
- Issue Resolution and Risk Management:
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
- Address conflicts, troubleshoot issues, and drive resolution with customers, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
- Escalate project issues as needed to internal leadership and customer management hierarchy, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
- Customer and Stakeholder Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and updates regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
- Ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded by delivering high-quality, customer-centric solutions.
- Engage with customers and vendors face-to-face at their locations or remotely as needed.
- Team Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Lead regular meetings with stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Foster clear and effective communication across all levels of the project team and stakeholders.

Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (preferred).
Experience/Minimum Requirements:
- Five (5) or more years of project management experience, with a strong understanding of project lifecycle management.
- Experience in managing project budgets and financial oversight for large-scale projects.
- Proven ability to manage customer-facing projects and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Experience in identifying and mitigating project risks to ensure successful project delivery.
Organizational Relationship:
- Reports to: Senior Manager, Program Management.
- Direct Reports: None.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid work model: In-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
- Option to work from home on Monday and Friday (subject to business needs).
- Occasional travel required for meetings, site visits, and project-related activities.
