Job Description
ASE is seeking a Telephone Technician responsible for working on its Nortel legacy and Cisco voice over IP (VoIP) and voice over secure (VoSIP) phone systems, which include telephones, cabling, voicemail systems, conference systems, and for the planning, installation, maintenance, and repair of phone systems and phone infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Performs daily operations, preventive and on-site maintenance of non-secure and secure telephone systems to include inside cable plant, distribution frame, communications closets, and telephone instruments (including Cisco VoIP, POTS lines and phones, VoSIP, Nortel Option 61C, Nortel Call Pilot, Avaya Aura Communications Manager, Communications Manager Messaging and Avaya System Administration Tool)
Provides technical support for secure and non-secure voice systems including associated equipment; responsible for all telecom items such as: cable plants, distribution frames, and communications closets, etc.
Conducts installation/de-installation, troubleshooting and repair of telephone equipment and lines in accordance with Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) regulations and requirements.
Connects analog and digital telephones at the Main Distribution Frame and Intermediate Distribution Frame closets using 110 blocks, 66 blocks and drop and fiber patch panels.
Provides system administration of VoSIPs using Cisco Unified Communications Manager administration application.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Current TOP SECRET clearance w/ SCI eligibility as recorded in DISS.
Minimum two years of successful work experience as a telecom technician, including VoSIP experience.
Ability to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to travel as needed (25% or less).
Proficient with MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and SharePoint.
Desired Qualifications:

Working experience using Nortel (PBX, BCM, Meridian Voicemail, etc.)
Working experience using Avaya (IP Office, etc.)
Working experience using Cisco Systems (VoIP Phones, Call Manager, etc.)
Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, SCSM) and interacting with service desk requests
