Rite-Solutions is seeking an organized, reliable, and driven Telecommunication Technician to work as part of our field service team to install, troubleshoot, and repair various voice, data networks and provide maintenance of a large-scale telephony system, ensuring operational status at the Naval Undersea Warfare (NUWC) in Newport RI.

Cable Technician Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair cable systems, most often involved with internet services
  • Install, label and terminate twisted pair cable (Cat6) and fiber optic cabling systems
  • Install various support structures, including cable racks, j-hooks, Innerduct, and other
Cable Technician Requirements and Qualifications
  • Five years+ experience in maintaining, operating, and installing telecommunications systems for a 5,000+ port PBX system.
  • Demonstrated ability to support a multi-node Avaya Communications Manager telecommunications system and Avaya G450 Branch Gateway.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of industry standard cable specifications
  • Communication skills with the ability to successfully collaborate with other members of the team
  • Ability to work at heights and lift 50+ pounds
Additional Requirements
  • Position requires U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance with the US government; active security clearance preferred
  • Military or government experience preferred but not necessary
  • Some Travel required
