The Telecom Specialist II provides basic telecommunications support for corporate and contact center end users. This position would also provide AV support for conference rooms and all corporate AV events via MS Teams Meeting support. Supported functions include hardware configuration, presentations, video conferences, and customer engagement. The position will maintain, improve, support, and fix audio-visual systems and digital signage. The position will possess a thorough knowledge of audio video systems. The position will coordinate resources and/or work events, including multimedia presentations and sound reinforcement.

Duties:
  • Provide support for Telecommunications adds, moves, and changes.
  • Supports and maintains conference rooms and administrative AV technology. Evaluates, installs, maintains, upgrades, troubleshoots, repairs technology equipment, and performs regular maintenance checks. This includes live events, conference rooms, and video teleconference rooms. Serves as the initial point of contact for reporting and resolving problems in conference rooms.
  • Develops and edits departmental documentation regarding system specifications and usage. Documents service requests and problem reports using the department ticketing system. Coordinates with audiovisual integrators for new and updated systems. Maintains equipment and parts inventory; ensures proper disposal of equipment.
  • Meet with users to determine event needs and direct resources. Stays up-to-date with technology solutions. Trained staff in the use of technology in conference rooms and performed all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:
  1. Associate degree, trade school, or equivalent experience.
  2. Basic knowledge of telephony systems related to call centers (Genesys experience preferred)
  3. Experience supporting technology in the executive environment (sometimes on short notice).
  4. Computer skills as well Microsoft applications.
  5. Knowledge of diagnosis and repairs for computer AV technology.
  6. Basic knowledge of AV systems (Logitech and Polycom).
  7. Ability to diagnose software or hardware problems as well as user errors.
  8. Ability to interact with users in a service-oriented manner.
  9. Ability to conduct technology training.
  10. Ability to prioritize tasks, follow policies and procedures, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects.
