Our client, a leader in connectivity solutions, is seeking a Telecom Engineer - Expert Level to join their team. As a Telecom Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting global telecommunications projects. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a collaborative spirit which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Telecom Engineer - Expert Level
Location: Spring, TX
Pay Range: $92.00 per hour
What's the Job? - Provide telecommunications engineering expertise and oversight, including transport systems (subsea/terrestrial fiber optics, microwave, VSAT).
- Supervise construction and commissioning teams, ensuring compliance with hazardous area requirements.
- Manage design, installation, and financial aspects of infrastructure projects, including telecom towers and antennas.
- Offer technical consultation and quality assurance, guiding contractors on telecommunications requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead teams in resolving technical challenges.
What's Needed? - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field preferred.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience, including a project engineering role in large, similar projects.
- Current knowledge of telecommunications and computing systems.
- Strong analytical skills to make effective design decisions in complex situations.
- Ability to manage multiple, complex projects within short timeframes.
