Pay Range
The Technology Trainer is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of instructional and training materials in a variety of media (print, multimedia, Web) and formats (instructor-led, self-paced, and online) regarding Judicial Branch technology.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Instructional Design, Computer Science or a related field
Experience:
  • One (1) year of instructional experience, some of which must include online instruction
OR

Combined education and experience qualifications:
  • Master's degree may substitute for the required year of experience
Our Preferred Candidate has:
  • Master's degree or higher in Instructional Design or Adult Education
  • Experience working in a court of justice system
  • Experience with the iCIS Case Management System
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Knowledge of:
  • Office 365 products
  • Adult Learning principles
  • Learning Maintenance Systems
Skill in:
  • Customer service orientation
  • Graphic design for handouts, posters, and reference guides
  • Dynamic, engaging oral and written presentation skills
  • Developing computer-based trainings for a professional audience
  • Building strong interpersonal relationships across multidisciplinary departments, as well as external stakeholders
Ability to:
  • Develop computer-based training using Articulate, Camtasia, or similar software
  • Work in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Managing multiple projects, customers and priorities
Position Compensation:

Min: $26.44/hour, Mid: $33.23/hour, Max: $40.02/hour

Min: $55,000/year, Mid: $62,062.50/year, Max: $83,250.00/year

ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS

  • Conducts instruction of training classes and workshops.
  • Designs and develops curricula; prepares training materials; sets and coordinates schedules, maintains records and evaluates workshops and training sessions.
  • Designs, develops, and delivers instructional and training materials in a variety of media (print, multimedia, Web) and formats (instructor-led, self-paced, and online) regarding Judicial Branch technology.
  • Provides corporate level facilitation/instruction of training classes and workshops on a variety of topics as requested by business customer.
  • Designs and prepares guides, manuals, visual aids and other training materials appropriate to the class being developed.
  • Researches new curricula and incorporates into service delivery.
  • Identifies customer's needs and aligns training facilitation to meet those needs.
  • Creates communications to enhance and support technology project deployments.
  • Creates and maintains online and other materials that communicate Judicial Branch technology to a variety of audiences.
  • Tests and assesses the effectiveness of training materials.
  • Updates training material based on participant feedback.
  • Creates summary reports for court administration on course status, effectiveness, feedback, etc.
  • Assists with operational functions of the training program, such as scheduling and setting up training space, managing logistics for equipment and software, and coordinating training credit in coordination with teammates and stakeholders.

Working conditions:

Classroom and office training environment. While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to speak clearly and hear; see details of objects that are less than a few feet away; sit for long periods of time; stand, walk, use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and occasionally push, pull or lift up to 20 pounds.

Typically, successful candidates are hired at a salary rate up to the midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.

The Judicial Branch of Arizona in Maricopa County participates in the State Retirement systems ASRS or PSPRS. As such, mandatory membership for all full-time employees includes payroll deducted contributions consistent with each retirement system's requirements. The current contribution rate for ASRS is 12.27% and the current contribution rate for PSPRS is 5.84% and up for the defined contribution plan and 8.82% for the defined benefit plan.
