QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Post-secondary training in technology or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrable skills and knowledge related to computer operation for instruction and training.
  • Possess the personal characteristics and professional competencies required to work effectively with students, teachers, administrators, and the public.
  • Demonstrate the aptitude to successfully complete the tasks assigned.
  • Alternative qualifications may be considered, as determined by the Board.
JOB GOAL: To facilitate the implementation and effective use of instructional technology for administration, staff, students, and the public.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist faculty and staff in overcoming technology issues and integrating technology into the classroom.
  • Aid in the device replacement cycle for all educational technology systems and equipment, including software purchases and deployment.
  • Provide technical assistance in troubleshooting hardware, software, and operational issues.
  • Participate in training sessions regarding new technologies and instructional strategies.
  • Perform Chromebook repairs as needed.
  • Maintain an up-to-date technology inventory.
  • Update the school system website.
  • Ensure devices are properly connected to the network.
  • Provide training and support to faculty, staff, students, and families regarding tech initiatives, including Google applications.
  • Uphold standards of confidentiality.
  • Perform other tasks and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the principal or their designee.
  • Demonstrate prompt and in person attendance.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with faculty, staff, students, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly resolve technical issues under pressure.
  • Familiarity with a variety of educational software and platforms (such as Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Windows 11).
