TECHNOLOGY PROJECT COORDINATOR An established corporate legal service company, located in Duluth, Georgia, is seeking a Technology Project Coordinator. We are looking for a candidate who is interested in long-term career growth. Candidate will be an important member of the team that will coordinate projects in conjunction with internal and external team members.
Summary: The Technology Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing the entire lifecycle of software implementations, updates, and changes within the organization. This role involves ensuring that software changes are properly planned, tested, and deployed with minimal disruption to operations. The Technology Coordinator will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, plan, and execute software changes while ensuring they meet organizational needs, security standards, and user requirements.
Key Responsibilities: - Change Management Planning: Lead and manage the software change management process, including assessment, planning, approval, testing, and deployment of software updates, patches, and new development.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with different teams (e.g., IT, operations, development, business units) to gather requirements and understand the impact of proposed software changes on operations and users.
- Change Control Procedures: Develop and enforce software change control processes, ensuring all changes are tracked, authorized, and reviewed according to established guidelines and industry best practices.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure that all software changes comply with organizational security policies, data privacy regulations, and industry standards. Stay informed about cybersecurity risks and how they relate to software changes.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external software vendors and service providers to manage software-related contracts, upgrades, support, and troubleshooting.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users to help them adapt to new or updated software systems. Develop user manuals, guides, and resources to facilitate smoother transitions.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that feedback is incorporated into the final release.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in managing software changes, implementations, and upgrades, preferably in a change management or IT project coordination role.
- Strong knowledge of change management frameworks (e.g., ITIL, Agile, or other relevant methodologies).
- Excellent understanding of software development, deployment, and testing processes.
- Experience with software lifecycle management and version control systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and end-users.
- Familiarity with system integration and cloud-based software solutions.
- Ability to analyze the business impact of software changes and translate them into clear, actionable tasks.
- Experience with software-related compliance and security standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
Preferred Qualifications: - Certifications in Change Management (e.g., ITIL Foundation) or Project Management (e.g., PMP).
- Experience in software implementation or project management within a small organization.
- Experience with tools and software used for managing software changes such as Jira, PHP, MYSQL and ASP.
Work Environment: This position typically involves working in an office. Occasional after-hours work may be required for system updates or deployments to minimize disruption during working hours.
