Technology Integration Specialist - LHS & VHHS

Overview: This position provides leadership and support to faculty and staff in using technologies effectively.

Reports to: Director of Information Technology

Employee Status: Educational Support Professional

ESP Bargaining Union

Calendar: Twelve-Month Employee, 7:30am - 4:00pm

Qualifications: Education and experience equivalent to high school graduation

Professional/Personal Characteristics:
  • Previous experience in an educational setting preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently under varying deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient with Google Workspace, office and phone equipment
Job Responsibilities:
  • Works under the direction and supervision of the IT Director to provide professional development and training resources for the purpose of equipping administrators, instructional leaders, and teachers with the tools, practices and procedures necessary for the effective integration of emerging technologies
  • Coordinates and consults on an ongoing basis with the IT Director and IT Coordinators in providing the research, planning, deployment and ongoing support of effective instructional and administrative technology solutions which support the district's goals and objectives
  • Collaborates with instructional leaders and teachers in the evaluation and selection of technology resources which support curricular needs and learning goals
  • Follows a plan for personal professional development and actively seeks out opportunities to grow professionally and gain certification in various technology systems
  • Participates in developing and monitoring the ethical use of educational technologies throughout the district
  • Provides professional development for new initiatives.
  • Participates in developing and monitoring the ethical use of educational technologies throughout the district.
  • Supports and manages district websites.
  • Promotes district compliance with accessible digital communications (ADA) guidelines, particularly with regard to the website and linked communications.
  • Programs reports, data queries and spreadsheets using SQL/HTML/Apps Script
  • Sets up and supports the rostering process for instructional and administrative platforms.
  • Manages much of the student information system, including creating customizations utilizing SQL, HTML, and Javascript, and communicates new features to staff. Add in SQL/HTML
  • Troubleshoot platform issues for staff/students in conjunction with vendor support for many of our platforms.
  • Assists the District IT Department with other duties as assigned
