Position Summary The
Technology Implementation Manager at
Smart Living Systems by LADD, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the deployment and training of remote support technologies for customer agencies. This can include the installation, configuration, and management of home automation technologies, security systems, and specialty devices designed to enhance independent living for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role ensures that customer agencies are equipped to utilize Smart Living Systems by LADD's software and hardware solutions to maintain and grow their respective service programs. The Technology Implementation Manager also oversees projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely execution, high-quality installations and training, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities Technology Installation & Maintenance - Install, configure, and test integrated devices for Smart Living Systems by LADD customer agencies.
Provide training to agency staff and individuals served on how to operate installed remote
support technologies.
- Ensure all installations comply with Smart Living Systems safety regulations, building codes, and accessibility standards.
Project Management & Execution - Plan, coordinate, and oversee the implementation of agency setup or related projects, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Work closely with staff, people served, caregivers, and stakeholders to assess needs and customize technology solutions accordingly.
- Manage vendor relationships, including procurement of equipment, scheduling installations, and ensuring proper system integration.
- Maintain project documentation, including technical reports, installation records, and user manuals.
Team Leadership & Management - Supervise and lead a future team of installation technicians, ensuring quality control and adherence to company standards.
- Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Oversee scheduling and task assignments to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer service excellence within the team.
System Optimization & Innovation - Research and recommend emerging smart home technologies and assistive solutions that enhance independent living.
- Continuously evaluate system performance and suggest improvements for efficiency, accessibility, and security.
- Develop best practices and standard operating procedures for technology installation and maintenance.
Qualifications & Requirements - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in smart home automation, IT customer support, security system installation, or assistive technology implementation.
- 1+ years of experience in team leadership, supervision, and/or project management.
- Strong technical knowledge of home automation platforms (e.g., Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit), security systems, and IoT devices.
- Proficiency in networking, wiring, and low-voltage system installation.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple installations simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support end-users.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel (approx 30%) to installation sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience managing field service or installation teams.
- Experience working with assistive technologies for individuals with disabilities.
- Certifications in home automation or security system installation.
- Familiarity with accessibility regulations and ADA compliance.
