We are looking to hire a Technology Consultant to join Microsoft Federal The Microsoft Federal organization was established to address the unique mission, legal/regulatory requirements, and procurement rules and processes of the United States Government (USG). T he Microsoft Federal team is looking for people with a passion for delivering customer success. As a Technology Consultant , you will own , troubleshoot and solve customer technical issues. Responsibilities Join our Cloud Engineering team as an individual contributor to build in-house solutions and applications for Microsoft Federal. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge software that meets the unique needs of our federal clients, while articulating value propositions for strategic Microsoft products and services. Perform imaging and configuration of the D ata Transfer Workstations (DTW) for deployment. Follow and improve the deployment process and documentation with coordination of Data Transfer Engineering team. Work across teams to e n sure products meet customer requirements . Coordinate with Project Managers to fulfill customer hardware installation requests. Travel to local sites to install Data W orkstation computers . Perform validation and documentation of the Data Transfer Workstation installation at the local site. Provide customer training and answer questions as necessary for the data transfer process with the Data Transfer Workstation . Monitors overall system health, performs routine maintenance, and documents / recommends new workflows for stability. Manages Operational System Management (through IT S ervice M anagement ) escalation and triage as required . Troubleshooting and remediation activities as appropriate to include coordination with System Owners, Product Team, and Migration Team. Complete regular maintenance on all systems/applications to include patching and vulnerability remediation and identification of end-of-life replacements. Follows and improves upon Change Request processes and coordination of Situational Awareness to identified points of contact. Execution of test cases for resolution of issues implemented by either Engineering or external teams, documentation of results and communication back to the appropriate party . Qualifications Required/Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science , Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field AND 1+ year(s) work experience in relevant area of business OR equivalent experience. Experience with d irect Platform Support (Windows Workstation/Server) Knowledge of Active Directory Organization and Management (OU and GPO Management) Systems Management Technologies (MECM, MDT, Windows Deployment Server, etc.) Additional or Preferred Qualifications 3+ years work experience in relevant area of business. Technical certifications based on domain/service line (e.g., Azure, Security, Dynamics). Delivery Management certification (e.g., Scrum, Agile, Change Management, Project Management). A zure V ir tual D esktop (AVD) e xperience and Component Support (Pools, Workspace, Application Management, Firewall Management) Azure Services (Compute, Networking, Storage, Analytics, Containers, Intune, Sentinel, etc.) Fami liarity with Azure Purview Updating and maintaining all system Authorization to Operate (ATO) documentation and all supporting documentation. Working knowledge of Azure Solutions Management (IaaS, PaaS, and Virtual Network Components) Proficiency in programming languages such as Azure Powershell 8570/8 140 certified Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.
Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment. Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government clearance Technology Consulting IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $74,200 - $150,500 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $97,000 - $163,000 per year.
