Technical Writer with Security Clearance

Job Title: Technical Writer Location: 320 Congress Street 1st Floor Boston, MA 02210 Autonodyne is a dynamic Boston-based software company working to provide additive autonomy to unmanned vehicles in land, sea, and air domains. Our technology stack applies mainly to the defense sector, but we view most of our work as dual use for commercial applications. This position requires a highly skilled professional with a strong background in technical writing and ideally, proposal development. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in documenting company products and securing federal contracts by developing compelling proposals that align with government solicitations and Autonodyne capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Generate top-tier technical documentation of company products for use by end-use customers and in proposal submissions. Develop and write proposal sections, including Past Performance, Corporate Experience, Management, and Technical content. Analyze Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to develop effective responses. Maintain exceptional time management skills to meet tight deadlines. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required Minimum of Five (5) years of experience in technical writing. Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills. Strong understanding of government procurement processes and evaluation criteria. U.S. Citizenship required. Must hold or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Five (5) years of experience in DoD proposal development Background in Systems Engineering or Software Engineering. Familiarity with structured and unstructured documentation tools (Confluence, FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, etc.). Experience developing training materials and technical documentation. Understanding of Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Salary Range: $100,000-$150,000 Travel: This position will not likely involve travel.
