Technical Writer and Editor with Security Clearance

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Technical Writer and Editor to join a National Security Contract located in Arlington, VA through 100% full onsite presence . The Technical Writer and Editor will create and edit briefings and visual messaging to ensure alignment with mission objectives and strategic messaging. This role requires collaborating with diverse teams and integrating both technical and visual content to produce professional-quality products. Responsibilities of the Technical Writer and Editor include: Write, edit, and format technical and professional documents to ensure clarity, grammar, punctuation, and adherence to OSD standards Combine technical and visual content from multiple sources to create cohesive appealing products Facilitate and review clearance processes through Public Affairs and the Office of Security Review Evaluate and refine technical documents against mission objectives and strategic messaging for internal and external audiences. Collate, edit, format, and refine DDRE-level reports Qualifications of the COOP Planner include: Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, or a related field and 10+ years of experience OR Master's degree and 8+ years of experience Experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Knowledge of Congressional processes, legislative proposals, and published reports Proficiency in engaging with systems engineering professionals and SMEs Understanding of document management and workflow coordination technique Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI Compensation for the COOP Planner includes: Salary Range: $95,000-100,000 depending on experience Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Plan, Holidays, PTO, sick leave as required by law
