Location: San Ramon, CaliforniaJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $60 - 65 per hourOur client is seeking a freelance Technical Video Producer to support their in-house video team. The ideal candidate brings deep technical video production expertise, hands-on experience with live productions, and strong communication and business acumen.This is a part-time role offering 16 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours during production weeks. The position requires onsite presence two days per week in San Ramon - flexible scheduling available.Responsibilities:Provide technical support to deliver creative needs and expectations, ensuring the highest quality product based on available equipment.Remains knowledgeable and up to date with all safety requirements, communicates and aligns productions with these requirements and ensures all safety measures are appropriately applied throughout each production.Recommend and support/guide the build or set up of sets based on creative and production needs, including green screen, live, remote, etc., within project parameters.Research and manage department production equipment, ensuring it's in working order at all times.Coordinate day-to-day technical processes for shoots or events and provide proposals and recommendations for new equipment or upgrades.Collaborate closely with the Executive Producer to align on production style, settings, talent, music, etc.Help inform, build and maintain documented standards and processes for execution and delivery of effective productions.Stays current with technology and equipment based on industry standards and best practices.Support self-service options as necessary to ensure quality, including training, guidance, or tip sheets.Ensuring the studio is consistently production-ready and well-organized, while proactively anticipating and addressing future needs.Create efficiencies, streamline, and optimize workflows to ensure high standards of quality and productivity, while contributing creatively to the project's vision.Have an eye for detail and composition, and contribute creatively to the project's vision while working collaboratively with the creative team and/or Executive Producer.Collaborate with project managers throughout a production to manage stakeholder expectations, employee workflow to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within budget and within expected quality standards.Regularly communicate with Team Lead, project managers and stakeholders to provide updates on project status and manage expectations.Address any budget or timeline concerns, proposing solutions as needed.Qualifications:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to take initiative and work independently while keeping stakeholders up to date on projects / productions.Extensive knowledge and expertise in live events and technical skills in video/multimedia content creation.Strong understanding of AV technology and signal flow in relation to live event production, including audio, video, and control technologies.Familiarity with Sony (A7iii, FS7, FX9) and Panasonic (AK-UCX100GSJ, AW-UE160KPJ) professional video lines along with Atomos and Vmix system workflows for recording.Full understanding of live broadcast workflows including IP video encoders and protocols (BitFire, LTN, LiveU, SRT, NDI, RTMP, etc.)High-level experience with broadcast production equipment, including switchers, audio mixing consoles, encoders, and SSD recording devices.Some travel required as well as flexibility to work outside of business hours when needed.Able to wear many hats to assist in and execute productions as needed.In-depth experience using video conferencing technology for live events, understanding of lighting principles, and sound management on sets.Expert level experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Adobe Premiere, After Effects).Clear understanding of the end-to-end production and transmission process, from planning to distribution.Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks on each project, flexibility with working teams, travel, and maintaining odd hours.Quick problem-solving ability while maintaining a calm and reliable demeanor for clients, crew, and talent.Expert project manager capable of communicating and disseminating project information within the team, forecasting team hours, and monitoring time tracking to mitigate scope creep, and knowing when to diplomatically sell their creative perspective or push back on recommendations.Experience:6 years of experience with video development, production, shooting, filmmaking process, screenwriting, and editing in live events, on location, and pre-recorded scenarios.5 years of experience with recording and webcasting live events including technology for in room and online viewer experience.Bachelor's Degree in related field is preferred.Skills:Deep technical video production expertiseHands-on experience with live productionsStrong communication and business acumenJOBID: Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.At Cella, a randstad digital company, we welcome people of all abilities and want to ensure that our hiring and interview process meets the needs of all applicants.
