This advertisement is for a full-time, on-site (Tallahassee, FL) position serving one of our Florida Government clients.
The Consultant will augment current program resources by providing technical assistance and consultation services in support of the development and revision of instructor-led and computer-based training, and other work related to updating the Program's instructional material.
This position will work and coordinate with agency executive and managing sponsors, technical and functional staff, contractors, and Program operational and support processes
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and revise instructor-led (ILT) and computer-based training (CBT) using diverse instructional methods to ensure learner engagement and knowledge retention.
- Develop and maintain user guides, work instructions, and supporting documentation tailored to end-user needs.
- Conduct research and impact analysis to assess system and procedural changes, ensuring instructional materials remain accurate and relevant.
- Collaborate with operational units, support teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely development and revision of training materials.
- Manage the review and approval process for training content, coordinating with team leads, Revenue Program Administrators, operational process owners, and senior program leadership.
- Extract critical information from SMEs, procedural documents, course feedback, and evaluations to create clear, engaging, and accessible learning content.
- Demonstrate a strong command of grammar, spelling, plain language principles, and logical content structure to craft professional instructional materials.
- Adhere to Departmental and Training Unit standards, procedures, and development processes for content creation, review, and approval.
- Utilize PowerPoint and Articulate Storyline 360 proficiently to design interactive and visually effective training modules.
- Create measurable learning objectives, meaningful interactions, and assessments aligned with course goals.
- Provide quality assurance and technical guidance throughout the content development lifecycle.
- Follow and improve upon project plans and instructional development processes, offering suggestions for enhancement as needed.
- Lead and document project-related meetings, including agendas, presentations, and meeting minutes.
- Communicate effectively with Program staff, contractors, and partners, sharing best practices and specialized knowledge related to instructional design.
Required Experience:
- Three (3) or more years of experience in developing both instructor-led (ILT) and computer-based training (CBT) programs.
- Demonstrated experience in writing clear and concise technical instructions for a variety of audiences.
- Three (3) or more years of hands-on experience with Articulate Storyline 360 for designing interactive eLearning content.
- Proven experience in creating engaging eLearning videos, including scripting, design, and editing.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Experience with knowledge base software.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud.
Education:
- Education - bachelor's degree or certification in Instructional Design or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
