Job Title: Technical Support SpecialistDepartment: Technical SupportAccountability: This Position reports to the Technical Support Manager
Job Description/Duties: - Maintain a basic knowledge of all Havis products
- Works hands on with engineers and installers to demonstrate time efficient ways of installation
- Write instructions for installation test instructions for accuracy and ease of use
- Support diagnostic, repair, and testing services to customers for product returns
- Provide technical phone support to customers for product knowledge and technical issues (electrical, mounting solutions, and mobile IT)
- Travel to work sites of major customers to demonstrate installation techniques
- Trouble shoot installation problems by phone or in person, as needed
- Provide training when requested, to Havis employees and Havis customers
- Assists with special projects and field service requirements as needed
Minimum Requirements: - Must be able to understand complex written and verbal directions and convey them to employees
- Must be able to read and analyze documents, technical procedures and government regulations
- Must have knowledge of computing device applications and OS support
- Hands-on experience with electrical/mechanical equipment repair
- Ability to maintain data entries utilizing various CRM and ERP database tools.
- Must be able to present information to groups of customers
- Must be able to solve complex problems with many variables
- Must be able to convey information clearly in verbal and written formats
- Must have manual dexterity, experience in auto install applications and be proficient in the use of hand tools and electronic test equipment
- Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing and bending
- Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus
