Mobile, AL ONSITE role. We are seeking a fulltime skilled Remote Desktop Support Technician to join our team. Support is remote, but the position is ONSITE in our offices in Mobile, AL. This position is full-time onsite. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance and support to users experiencing hardware, software, and network issues, with a specific focus on managing and troubleshooting devices using Microsoft Intune. (Demonstrated experience with this required and visible in resume where used please.) This role involves troubleshooting problems remotely, ensuring smooth deployment of new applications, and maintaining the device compliance. The technician will work independently while delivering high-quality support to ensure optimal performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide remote assistance to users experiencing compliance or other issues with their computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Intune Management: Manage and troubleshoot devices using Microsoft Intune, including device compliance, group membership and application deployment.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems through phone, email, or remote desktop applications.
- Installation & Configuration: Install and configure computer systems and applications, including Intune policies and profiles.
- Maintenance: Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks, ensuring compliance with Intune policies.
- Documentation: Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals, including Intune configurations and troubleshooting steps.
- Communication: Collaborate with the IT team to report major defects and system inconsistencies.
- User Support: Collaborate with License Administrator to insure correct account and licenses are maintained.
Skills Required:
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of computer systems, software, and hardware, with experience in Microsoft Intune.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to assess and troubleshoot a variety of technical issues, including those related to Intune.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer Service: Patience and ability to guide users through technical issues.
- Adaptability: Ability to work remotely and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
Education: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in IT support or a similar role, with hands-on experience in Microsoft Intune.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Manager).
