Overview

This position is for the Kentucky Farm Bureau Federation

Responsible for hardware and software computer support. Maintain computer equipment and software inventories. Assist in maintaining iMIS membership system. Responsible for portable communication technology, copiers, purchasing supplies and assist with facility projects and special events, A/V equipment. Maintain office equipment inventories.

Responsibilities

Provide production support for the iMIS membership system by researching, analyzing and resolving problems.

Provide assistance for project or maintenance task related to iMIS membership system.

Perform Project Management tasks. Assist in dealing with users in participating in the definition of new systems or enhancements to existing systems. Assisting with establishing project plans, schedules, establish target dates, and complete projects.

Provide support for portable communication technologies, such as cell phones, iPhones, iPad's, etc.

Provide support for telecommunication equipment, such as video conferencing, office telephones, scanners, etc.

Maintain company's copy equipment, working with vendor to ensure equipment is functioning properly.

Evaluates and recommends vendor application and development software.

Provide on-call support to production systems during non-business hours.

Purchase supplies for company.

Maintain current technical expertise for computer software issues.

Provide support for improving the organization's activities through improved methods, techniques, and better utilization of resources to provide efficient and effective service to users.

Assist with portable audio equipment and staff on use of equipment.

Maintain LCD projection system and train staff on use of equipment.

Develop and maintain written preventative maintenance procedures for office equipment.

Approve bills/invoices related to operations of the Support Services Department.

Promote organization's mission statement, goals and objectives.

Regular, predictable attendance.

Other Responsibilties

Compile statistical data for reports for Kentucky Farm Bureau as needed.

Assist and cooperate with Federation personnel as needed.

Attend division staff meetings and Kentucky Farm Bureau Louisville staff meetings, as scheduled.

Serve on intra and inter committees as directed.

Help Farm Bureau achieve membership quota and goals.

Provide Executive Vice President with status reports, including accomplishments, goals and objectives, as requested.

Job Specifications

Physical demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, sitting for long periods, normal vision and hearing (with or without correction), speaking.

Mental demands: Analytic research and reasoning, prolonged concentration, problem solving, ability to perform under pressure, ability to make decisions, interpersonal skills.

Equipment: Various computer equipment A/V equipment, LCD projection equipment, telephone/facsimile, copy equipment.

Environment factors: Standard office lighting, temperature and noise, working indoors, working outdoors, extreme cold, heat and noise, fumes/odors.

Qualifications

Minimum Education / Training Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a computer science related field and two years' experience in personal computer technical support preferred. Combination of formal education, training and experience to acquire knowledge and skills generally equivalent to those possessed by a college graduate with four years computer experience may be considered.

Basic knowledge in technical equipment.

Advanced knowledge of PC and their software.

Advanced knowledge of SQL Server.

Advanced knowledge Microsoft operating systems.

Minimum Experience / Other Requirements

Courteous telephone manner.

Good communication skills, both oral and written.

Self-starter and the ability to work with minimum supervision in major areas of responsibility.

Ability to interact effectively with a team concept.

Willingness to perform work assignments after hours in order to meet job demands.

Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and multi-task to meet deadlines.

Demonstrate excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Demonstrates organizational skills in managing projects.

Ability to reason and solve problems.

Willingness to travel if necessary.

Other Experience / Non-Essential

Knowledge of Crystal Reports, IIS and Cold Fusion.

Knowledge of MS Office and Peachtree.
