Summary: Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, phone systems, hardware, or software. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solution.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and phone system.
  • Handle various types of cell phones and remotely troubleshoot problems with users.
  • Troubleshoot various problems with various types of hardware (phones, desktops, printers, etc.) and software (Microsoft Office, PDF viewers, web browsers, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate records and receipts for equipment and software.
  • Accurately log all calls and requests into the helpdesk database either opening a new ticket or updating an existing ticket immediately upon ending the call or at most within 8 hours of taking the call.
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
  • Maintain record of daily communication transactions, problems and remedial action taken.
  • Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems install computer peripherals for users.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, Associates Degree in Information Technology, Computer/Information Science, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 1-year practical experience in providing support in IT environment
  • CompTIA A+ certification required
  • Will consider related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
