Technical Support Specialist - Industrial Automation (Drives & Servos)

Salary: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide real-time customer support and troubleshooting solutions through phone, email, and chat, ensuring high satisfaction and effective problem resolution.
  • Conduct technical research and test systems to replicate and resolve customer issues, enhancing product reliability.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on new products and technologies, enhancing professional expertise.
  • Develop and update training materials, application notes, and documentation to assist customers and improve user guides.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Technical Degree required or a minimum of 8 years of industry experience in industrial automation.
  • Proven experience with AC servo systems, variable frequency drives, and stepper systems.
  • Strong foundation in electro-mechanical systems and understanding of automation workflows.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in PLC programming and start-up troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in setting up and troubleshooting industrial Ethernet network connections on a Windows platform.
  • Experience with HMI programming and problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with industry communication networks such as DeviceNet and Profibus.
Skills:
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Technical proficiency in using software tools for network and system analysis.
