Nature and Scope of Job

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Technical Support Engineer with a strong background in Windows Server administration, networking, and desktop support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive IT support to end users, managing and maintaining server and network infrastructure, and ensuring high availability and performance of our internal IT systems.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for Windows-based environments (servers and desktops).
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server systems (2016/2019/2022).
  • Perform user and group administration via Active Directory, including GPO management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Support LAN/WAN infrastructure, firewalls, switches, and wireless technologies.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, upgrades, and patch management.
  • Manage backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.
  • Provide technical documentation and user training as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing IT initiatives and projects.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar technical support role.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
  • Experience with firewalls, routers, switches, and remote access tools.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell preferred) is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Education & Certifications
  • BA Degree in related field.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, or CCNA are a plus.

Compensation

Salary/Hourly Rate Range (W2): USD 55.00 - 65.00

The base salary/hourly rate range represents the anticipated low and high end of the USDM's compensation range for this position. Actual salaries/hourly rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. The compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described based on market survey data or budget.

Full-time employees are eligible for health, vision, and dental insurance, life insurance, short and long-term disability, hospital indemnity, accident, and critical care coverage.

Both full and part-time employees, who are at least 21 years of age, are eligible to participate in USDM's 401k plan. Full and part-time employees may be eligible for paid time off.
