Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Support Engineer to provide expert-level technical assistance across internal teams and external partners, primarily focused on resolving complex product and tool-related issues.

The role demands deep knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostic tools, and service practices, especially within the heavy-duty (Class 8) truck industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced technical support to internal teams and external service partners.
  • Conduct field visits to diagnose and address technical issues experienced by customers and markets.
  • Perform root cause analysis of product quality concerns and define containment and corrective actions.
  • Utilize data acquisition systems and analytical tools to troubleshoot vehicle performance problems.
  • Apply domain expertise across powertrain, chassis, and electrical/electronic systems.
  • Use in-depth knowledge of diagnostic procedures and repair strategies to support field operations.
  • Lead large-scale technical support projects or end-to-end initiatives independently.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers by reviewing work and delegating responsibilities.
  • Resolve complex, ambiguous technical challenges using innovative and practical solutions.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical support or engineering roles in the heavy-duty vehicle industry.
  • Proven experience in using data acquisition tools for vehicle diagnostics and performance analysis.
  • Extensive background in Class 8 truck systems including development, diagnostics, and service.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing technical projects and mentoring junior professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering.
  • Experience with telematics or connected vehicle systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance for commercial vehicles.
  • Certification in diagnostic tools or systems engineering.
