The Tech Support Associate provides desktop support and service restoration for daily operations and project efforts in a complex, distributed computing environment. Performs a broad range of IT support service: PC, MAC, software, hardware and basic network support. Collaborates with team members and customers and contributes to the efforts to develop, implement and continuously improve systems.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

Incident and Request Management- 80%
  • Identify, diagnose and resolve desktop issues of moderate to high risk and complexity
  • Occasionally lead and routinely coordinate resolution across Technical Support Services departmental groups where multiple end-user associates have been impacted
  • Coordinate desktop component and phone moves affecting multiple users
  • Plan and prepare hardware/software installations and upgrades
  • Recognize opportunities for system or procedure improvements and make recommendations
  • Provide technical advice and provide training to others (peers and customers)
  • Handle activities of moderate to high risk and complexity
  • Act as a resource or assist others on moderate to difficult technical problems
  • Manage multiple issues concurrently
  • Business Site - potential responsibilities:
  • Collaboration with 3rd party / client providers of software, hardware or service
  • "Tiered" support responsibilities, including:
    • Office security / badge admin
    • Tape backup admin
    • Security administration
    • Telephony admin
    • Patch management
  • On-site support for Tier 3
  • Office equipment support
  • May require on-call availability and working during non-business hours. Overtime may be required. Maintain inventory in inventory tracking system Follows established process and procedures to accomplish tasks Establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal and external customers Utilize analytical and communication skills in the development and modification of written procedures, processes and technical knowledgebase.
Project/Initiative responsibilities - 20%
  • Coordinates efforts of small teams (Including UAT)
  • Disaster recovery / Business continuity process administration with minimal definition
What are the requirements needed for this position?
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3 years of professional I/T experience
  • 3 years of experience in external facing customer support environment

Pay Range:
$26.47 - $44.20

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
