Strategic Ventures is currently recruiting a Technical Specialist to join our team onsite at Quantico, VA. We are seeking a skilled IT Specialist to coordinate the administration, management, and inventory of hardware, software, IT systems, telecommunications, and technical support services. This role will involve the integration, planning assistance, and coordination of end-user networks, as well as installation, implementation, and maintenance of various IT systems and devices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of services.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the administration and management of hardware, software, IT systems, telecommunications, and end-user space to support the seamless integration of CDD and end-user network systems.
- Provide technical customer support for hardware and software systems, troubleshooting issues and resolving problems efficiently.
- Perform installation, implementation, and operational maintenance tasks for various hardware platforms and software environments.
- Assist in the implementation of standard configuration software loads for all network devices to ensure consistency and functionality.
- Collaborate with technical support teams to identify and resolve critical issues, executing appropriate actions to ensure that backup processes are completed.
- Monitor and evaluate IT device performance, including workstations, laptops, peripheral devices, and remote access systems, ensuring they are operating optimally.
- Oversee the distribution of applications and software upgrades, ensuring compliance with regulations, licensing agreements, and copyright laws.
- Maintain accurate records of software distribution and ensure authorized users receive the necessary software and updates.
- Review and manage equipment inventories, identifying outdated items and coordinating necessary updates or replacements.
- Research and submit orders for additional hardware, software, and services to meet organizational needs.
- Manage Service Request Management (SRM) requests for MCEN service transfers, including unclassified and classified accounts, and hardware and software requirements.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with MCCOG personnel to facilitate troubleshooting, hardware and software ordering, and ensure the timely delivery of requested items.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Active Secret Security clearance
- 2+ years of experience
- Ability to work full-time at the government worksite - MCB Quantico VA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Technical Certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar)
