Title: Technical Solutions Architect (Contract) - Job
Location: Remote
Job Description: Our client is seeking a seasoned Technical Solutions Architect to support the design and implementation of a user-focused constituent portal as part of a high-visibility digital services program. This role requires strong expertise in design integration strategies, technical guidance, and solution documentation to ensure a seamless and accessible user experience across enterprise systems and services. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and vendor partners to align technical solutions with user interface design, branding standards, and accessibility guidelines.
Key Responsibilities: - Analyze and interpret functional requirements to guide the design and integration of digital services
- Provide technical support and guidance to development teams and program stakeholders
- Assist in developing user interface designs, mockups, and functional prototypes that prioritize usability and accessibility
- Review and contribute to user research and usability testing findings to inform design improvements
- Design and support integration strategies connecting State applications and services
- Contribute to documentation including diagrams, technical specifications, and system workflows
- Collaborate in project meetings, brainstorming sessions, and technical briefings
- Participate in troubleshooting and assist in implementing resolutions for service issues
- Ensure design solutions align with established branding, marketing, and accessibility standards
Required Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in the following areas:
- Usability and user experience design for websites and applications
- Developing mobile-responsive and accessible websites
- Working within design integration and interaction design frameworks
- Strong familiarity with government accessibility and usability regulations
- Proven ability to deliver solution documentation and maintain comprehensive technical records
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment
Preferred Skills: - Prior experience working in a State or public sector environment
- Familiarity with information architecture and human-computer interaction principles
- Background in digital service delivery or public-facing web portals
