Now, we're looking for a Technical Sales Manager / Representative to help expand our impact.
Position Purpose
Create value for GBC and its customers by expanding the adoption of GBC's products across the industry. The successful practitioner will do this by demonstrating mastery of GBC's product portfolio, understanding customers' needs, goals and challenges, being a trusted advisor to the customers' decision makers, and providing value-generating solutions. This position is relentless in its pursuit of business growth in an ethical manner.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Drive Industry Adoption
- Become an expert in GBC's product portfolio and how it solves customer challenges.
- Develop deep relationships with key decision-makers across the industry.
- Position GBC's solutions against competitors to highlight our unique value.
Technical Expertise
- Apply your knowledge of OCTG products, materials science, and well construction to provide high-value solutions.
- Work closely with our engineering team to develop customized offerings.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and trends in the industry.
Strategic Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with persistence.
- Leverage GBC's CRM software to streamline sales efforts and maximize productivity.
- Utilize strong negotiation skills to secure contracts and optimize pricing strategies.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
- Listen to customers' pain points, goals, and needs to become a trusted advisor.
- Build strong relationships across customer organizations-from engineers to executives.
- Handle objections professionally and work toward win-win solutions.
WHO YOU ARE & WHAT YOU KNOW:
Preferred BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Petroleum), but adequate, demonstrated OCTG and connection technical experience is acceptable as a substitute. Membership in industry professional organizations (SPE, API, AADE, etc.) preferred.
Industry Expert - You have 10+ years of technical sales experience in oil & gas , with a deep understanding of OCTG products, drilling, and completions .
Technical Thinker - You know your way around API specs, QA/QC methods, and materials science-especially in steels & alloys.
Strategic Seller - You're skilled in lead generation, pricing negotiations, and sales execution.
Connector & Influencer - You can navigate customer organizations, overcome obstacles, and close deals.
Tech-Savvy - You're comfortable using CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Driven & Ethical - You operate with integrity and are relentless in your pursuit of success.
