About the Role - Technical Sales Engineer:
We're looking for a highly driven and technically minded Sales Engineer to manage and grow a defined territory. This role includes up to 65% travel. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in power electronics or motive power systems to bring their sales expertise and technical knowledge to a fast-paced, innovative industry.
What You'll Do:
- Build and expand relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new opportunities.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to execute tactical and strategic sales initiatives.
- Manage a multi-region territory and create comprehensive customer growth strategies.
- Partner with engineering, procurement, and service teams at all organizational levels.
- Serve as a liaison between the customer and internal engineering/customer service teams to support new and existing projects.
- Investigate and resolve field failures or product issues, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Create and distribute visit reports and documentation for all customer engagements.
What You'll Bring:
- Education: BSEE, BSME, or BS in Electrical Technology or Industrial Engineering or a relevant technical bachelor's degree
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in technical sales within power electronics or motive power environments.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with motor controllers, power conversion devices, input/switching devices, and instrumentation.
Skills:
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to independently manage and grow accounts.
- Relationship-building and consultative sales approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Additional Info:
- Up to 60% domestic travel required (occasional international travel may be needed).
- This role is onsite - candidates must be within a 45-minute commute- Morton Grove, IL.
