JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

Assist in the planning, design, writing, editing and proofreading of documents such as technical manuals, reports, proposals, and correspondence and coordinate their subsequent publication.

• Edit reports, publications, proposals and correspondence to ensure clarity of content, consistency of format and accuracy of grammar.

• Responsible for quality control, production and distribution of documents in accordance with schedules.

• Apply working knowledge of technical literature and various style guides including in-depth knowledge of customer specifications and instructions regarding documentation and publication standards.

• Participate in the development and maintenance of technical manuals, assist with validation, verification, resolve discrepancies and deficiencies, and assess the accuracy and adequacy of technical manual requirements for printing.

• Utilize personal computers with integrated software packages.

• Assist in the production and distribution of documents.

• Maintain a filing system of documents and work order files for documents received for processing.

• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. RANGE POSITION DESCRIPTION Candidate will work with Technical Publications Section to collect draft technical/scientific documentation from engineers, test personnel; convert draft documents to standard test plan and report templates; edit for spelling, clarity of grammar, format, and consistency; participate in report integrated product meetings. Position requires flexibility in work assignment and ability to adapt to change. Position requires ability to work under tight deadlines to produce quality reports. Position requires ability to efficiently perform quality checks of technical documents for peers, customers, and before final publication. Critical tasks include editing classified and unclassified technical reports. Knowledge of 412th Test Wing technical report process and operating instructions. Must be able to understand technical report process questions to guide authors in the development of technical reports. Follow processes for all documentation, maintaining version control of all documentation. Ability to work independently or in a team environment a must. DESIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Knowledge in MS Office products Word, Excel, Power Point.

• Knowledge in Adobe form generation and modification a plus.

• Knowledge of SharePoint and/or Livelink a plus.

• Motivated and a self-starter, must be deadline driven.

• Excellent interpersonal skills. REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE Associates degree in English, Journalism or related discipline, or completion of equivalent academic training and at least one year of job-related experience. In addition, a Technical Publishing I must possess the following qualifications:

• Good written communication skills.

• Must have working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications.

• Must possess organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work. The incumbent must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen. SALARY The expected salary range for this position is $68,640 to $74,880 annually. Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. WORKING CONDITIONS

This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards. There is occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness. The incumbent must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines.
