Title: Software Delivery Project Manager
Location: Remote in Phoenix, AZ or Indianapolis, IN
Type: Full-Time (FTE or Contract-to-Hire)

In this role, you will lead the delivery of custom software solutions across web and mobile platforms, managing multiple Agile projects and serving as the primary liaison between internal teams and clients. The position involves both tactical execution and strategic input, with the opportunity to grow into broader service delivery leadership.

Your role:
  • Manage timelines, scope, deliverables, and day-to-day operations across multiple concurrent software projects.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives using Agile methodologies.
  • Track progress and manage tasks through JIRA or similar tools; write user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring transparency, alignment, and consistent communication.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and client teams to ensure shared understanding of goals and priorities.
  • Identify project risks, remove blockers, and proactively maintain delivery momentum.
  • Coordinate team resources and lead internal standups (typically 3x per week).
  • Support client training efforts and create or contribute to documentation for both internal and client-facing use.
  • Assist with process development and improvement initiatives when applicable.
  • Monitor budgets, track time, and adjust resourcing to support on-time, high-quality delivery.
What you've got:
  • 3+ years of experience managing Agile software development projects in a consultancy, agency, or SaaS setting.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum frameworks, and technical project delivery.
  • Proficiency with project management tools like JIRA and Confluence; familiarity with mobile projects and CI/CD is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident leading teams and collaborating across functions; able to make decisions and drive outcomes independently.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in small, less-structured teams.
  • Background in software development, product management, or utility/construction tech is a bonus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Why this role matters:
  • You'll step into a key role previously held by a strong contributor who is moving on to freelance work.
  • You'll help shape the client experience and ensure projects stay on track while bringing structure and energy to internal teams.
  • This is a strategic delivery role with future growth into broader ownership across product, project, and account management.
