We design and manufacture advanced life safety devices and systems that detect smoke and carbon monoxide, notify emergency responders, and protect lives in residential and commercial spaces. Our product offerings include fire detection systems, HVAC controls, intelligent sensors, and wireless solutions. Position Objective

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for leading cross-functional projects focused on the development and delivery of complex engineering initiatives. This role drives execution from planning through launch, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. The TPM reports directly to the Engineering Manager and collaborates with internal teams across engineering, product management, operations, and quality.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of technical projects, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and to defined scope.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets; monitor progress and adjust plans to address changes or challenges.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and quality teams to drive cross-functional alignment and resolve project blockers.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, status updates, and project reviews; ensure timely, transparent communication to project stakeholders.
  • Manage change control processes, ensuring all changes to scope, timing, and costs are evaluated, documented, and approved.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues through proactive planning and problem-solving.
  • Drive execution through stage-gate New Product Development (NPD) processes and support continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Track and report on project performance metrics, including milestones, resource usage, and delivery status.

Critical Success factors

  • Strong proficiency with project management tools including MS Project and Smartsheet; experience with Jira or Confluence is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies, and the ability to apply them as needed

Academic qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related technical field required; master's degree preferred.
  • PMP, CAPM, or Agile certification is a plus.

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in engineering and technical project management, with a history of delivering complex hardware/firmware projects.
  • Experience working with sensor-based technologies, including smoke, CO, or environmental sensors, for at least 2 years.

  • Experience coordinating with regulatory and certification bodies (e.g., UL, ETL) is highly desirable.
