We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Project Manager - Health Information Technology Systems to join our Technical Operations team. This hybrid role bridges data operations, project coordination, and technical support-ensuring the seamless flow of healthcare data, optimizing system performance, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration to support our clients and internal teams.
Position Summary:
The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for managing and supporting the integration of electronic health record (EHR) systems, overseeing technical troubleshooting and support processes, coordinating technical projects, and maintaining communication system infrastructure. This role also includes monitoring data integrity, managing support tickets across teams, and driving issue resolution. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of healthcare IT knowledge, systems troubleshooting skills, and project coordination experience within a cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to EHR system integrations, interface engines, and system performance
- Provide real-time support to internal and external users via phone, email, and digital platforms
- Document and track technical issues, resolutions, and user requests using standard ticketing tools
- Lead technical discussions and debugging sessions during major incidents to identify root causes and solutions
- Analyze support trends to identify recurring issues and recommend long-term improvements
Data Monitoring and Management:
- Continuously monitor data flow between the Octagos platform and connected healthcare systems to ensure seamless, accurate data integration
- Regularly verify data integrity and proactively identify and resolve data flow anomalies
- Maintain documentation on data workflows, technical resolutions, and process improvements
- Work with internal teams to enhance the reliability and scalability of integration processes
- Ensure data practices align with privacy and compliance regulations
Phone System and Communication Infrastructure Management:
- Supervising the dialer system, including creating and maintaining dialer campaigns, managing dialer settings (like pacing and dialing mode), and ensuring the system is running smoothly
- Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as call connection rates, abandonment rates, and service levels, and generating reports to analyze performance and identify areas for improvement
- Ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations, such as the Telemarketing Sales Rule/DNC, and maintaining accurate records of dialer activity
- Participate in the design and implementation of new phone system features to support internal and client operations
- Manage user accounts, directory structures, messaging systems, and access levels
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work independently and cross-functionally with internal teams, clients, and healthcare partners to support technical operations
- Collaborate with clinical staff, IT professionals, and business teams to meet integration and service goals
- Translate business and clinical needs into actionable technical tasks and solutions
- Provide training and support to internal users as needed, especially on system usage and troubleshooting
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in healthcare technology, healthcare support, or EHR system integration
- Experience supporting software-as-a-service or telecommunication systems in a healthcare or business operations context
Skills:
- Strong understanding of healthcare, medical, laboratory, and public health terminology
- Hands-on experience with multiple EHR systems
- Familiarity with technical tools including SQL, Microsoft Azure, Power BI, and Jira
- Knowledge of interface engines, telecommunication systems, and ticketing platforms
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort working independently and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
