Responsibilities

The VA Safeguard against Veteran suicide program is a multi-faceted effort to provide strategic guidance to VA on steps to successfully reduce (with higher goals to eliminate) Veteran suicide. The effort will make use of flagship pilots, marketing pilots, technology pilots, training and education to ultimately develop a feasibility analysis and implementation plan (FA&IP) to guide VA in this goal.

The Technology Focused Solutions Project Manager for VA Safeguard against Veteran Suicide Program will lead the design and prototyping of a mobile application, self-help portal for suicide prevention, AI and other pilots that will feed the ultimate FA&IP deliverable. The candidate will stand up design and development teams to develop pilots that will be guided by Veteran input.

What you'll do:

The Technical Project Management, Manager will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
    Lead the design and prototyping of a mobile application for suicide prevention that meets or exceeds customer expectations based on PWS and design input within planned schedule.
  • Create position requisitions as needed and onboard design and development team.
  • Establish team for design and prototyping of mobile application.
  • Establish team to design and prototype a self-help web portal integrated with mobile application for suicide prevention.
  • Work with Functional lead to validate VA points of contact, stakeholders and establish design meetings.
  • Guide design of Mobile application with design lead, technical lead, VA and Veteran input and meet the guidance provided by VA stakeholders in accordance with the PWS. Work closely with Technology Partner on other solutions including artificial intelligence applications
  • Facilitate Agile Scrum Master Activities (Meeting facilitation, Meeting Notes, Coaching, Kanban Board administration, Daily Standup, etc.)
  • Support Program Management Office to develop and update project schedule

Qualifications

Required qualifications:
  • 10 years of experience
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust T4 clearance.
  • Skills: Agile Development and Scrum Master experience
  • Skills: Excellent client communication and organizational skills
  • Skills: proven project management experience on large programs
  • Skills: Detail and task oriented with focus on exceeding client satisfaction within agreed timelines

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
