WHAT YOU'LL DO

As the Technical Project Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of software and IT initiatives, managing project lifecycles, and delivering innovative solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

Project Planning & Execution - Manage full project lifecycles, from planning and resource allocation to execution and KPI tracking.

Stakeholder Management - Collaborate with laboratory experts, software teams, and leadership to align technical solutions with business needs.

Software Configuration & Implementation - Lead the setup and optimization of LIMS, customer solutions, and in-house software applications.

Change Management & Risk Mitigation - Identify project risks, manage changes, and ensure compliance with regulatory and technical requirements.

Team Leadership - Guide and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

SCHEDULE & POSITION

This is a full-time, Monday - Friday, hybrid-remote position based in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area, requiring the ability to commute to Analytical Food Laboratories (AFL), a Tentamus Company, in Grand Prairie, Texas. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for performance tests or software rollouts, and domestic travel may be necessary for project implementation, collaboration, and/or learning and development purposes.

This role primarily operates in an office environment, but we offer flexibility for remote work based on organizational needs. Collaboration with multiple departments and teams is essential.

MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role requires regular use of hands and fingers, the ability to reach, talk, and hear, and extended periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer. Specific vision abilities needed include near and far distance, color perception, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely and without restrictions or sponsorship, hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; other qualifications include:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, preferably in LIMS or laboratory-related software solutions
  • Project management certification (PMP, Agile, or equivalent preferred)
  • Proficiency in multiple programming and scripting languages (e.g., Java, C , JavaScript, Python) with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Experience with software architecture and development, including microservices, API development, CI/CD tools, and automated testing frameworks
  • Familiarity with database management systems (SQL & NoSQL) and front-end frameworks (React, Angular) or mobile app development
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills; Ability to lead cross-functional teams with both technical and non-technical members
