Technical Project Manager (TPM)
Data Warehousing, Mainframe Systems, and SQL
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM) with a strong background in Data Warehousing, Mainframe Systems, and SQL to lead complex data initiatives across our enterprise. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical and project management skills, coupled with a deep understanding of legacy systems and modern data documentation standards. A Scrum certification is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project management for data warehousing initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, and engineers to define scope, requirements, and project plans.
- Manage projects involving legacy Mainframe systems integration with modern data platforms.
- Facilitate the creation, maintenance, and governance of data documentation and metadata.
- Utilize SQL for project-related data validation, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Apply Agile/Scrum methodologies for sprint planning, tracking, and team coordination.
- Mitigate risks, manage issues, and ensure transparent communication with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Technical PM in data warehousing or large-scale data projects.
- Strong working knowledge of Mainframe Systems (e.g., COBOL, JCL, VSAM).
- Proficiency in SQL for querying, data profiling, and validation.
- Experience with data documentation tools and standards.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks; Scrum certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification.
- Prior experience with data migration or modernization initiatives.
- Knowledge of enterprise data governance frameworks.
