Please review the following job description:

Perform detailed project management with a minimum level of guidance from leadership. Accountability spans from release initiation through implementation and retrospective analysis/improvement. Manage medium complexity projects/releases generally within an individual program with 2 or more release teams / release tracks. Work with project stakeholders to clearly define project/release scope and schedule to ensure well-planned schedules are achieved. Assist completion and manage approval workflow of release deliverables in support of compliance and risk standards. Provide release-level status reporting, event communications, and manage the escalation and resolution of risks/issues/incidents arising throughout a release lifecycle.

Ensure projects/releases are documented, prioritized and executed to address project requirements and to mitigate potential risks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in managing critical day-to-day program/project elements including scope, quality, schedule, vendor management, dependencies, risks, status reporting, stakeholder engagement, business readiness/change management, and value realization necessary to deliver specified requirements, objectives and value.
  • Hold accountability of medium complexity project initiatives with moderate to high lev77els of scope.
  • Perform detailed process-driven governance of the project delivery lifecycle covering multiple release tracks within an individual program.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the execution of established processes and usage of planning tools/templates in support of executing project delivery lifecycle governance.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of technical aspects within assigned application ecosystems, including cross-workstream integrations, high level architecture, and technologies involved.
  • Facilitate release implementation events by monitoring task plans, updating change tickets, providing event communications to all stakeholders including senior leadership from technology and the line(s) of business, and facilitating incident management and related communications.
  • Provide proactive, appropriate and professional communication amongst project stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure continuous refinement of skills and processes while contributing to overall team improvement.
  • Proactively develop innovative approaches, risk mitigation strategies, quality control and continuous improvement.
  • Work cross-functionally to improve planning processes, plan future releases and identify/coordinate dependencies.
  • Ensure understanding of and adherence to enterprise technology, infrastructure, risk and other applicable corporate policies and processes.
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in technology-related field, or equivalent education and related training
  • Minimum of four years of project delivery experience within a technical or technical management role, including a minimum of two years within the applicable business domain
  • Practical knowledge of the full software development lifecycle in an enterprise environment
  • High level of attention to detail, and robust personal organization
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Objective, transparent, fact-based and value-focused communication style
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently toward goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demands
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Has achieved Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and advancing towards Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Minimum of two years of financial services-related experience managing medium complex enterprise program initiatives
  • Practical experience with managing agile delivery
