Technical Program Manager (TPM)
Long-term contract (12+ months)
Location: Remote (Seattle, DC, Austin, Nashville, PHX, ATL Preferred)
Brooksource is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to support one of our largest retail clients in managing and delivering infrastructure and security initiatives across their corporate and operational environments. This role will focus on coordinating complex IT projects, ensuring the successful implementation of network security, infrastructure upgrades, and enterprise IT solutions. The TPM will work cross-functionally with security, networking, and infrastructure teams to drive execution while minimizing business disruption.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute detailed project plans with clear tasks, milestones, and timelines.
Manage the end-to-end execution of IT infrastructure projects, tracking progress and mitigating risks.
Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders to implement scalable solutions.
Evaluate project costs, benefits, and risks while proactively addressing high-priority challenges.
Document lessons learned and incorporate findings into future projects for continuous improvement.
Lead infrastructure initiatives related to networking, security, cloud, and enterprise IT solutions.
Support migration, configuration, and validation activities across various technical environments.
Provide technical guidance to both IT and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Identify potential technical challenges and risks, working with appropriate teams to develop solutions.
Maintain weekly project status reports, ensuring visibility into progress and key milestones.
Provide executive-level reporting to track project performance and outcomes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timelines, dependencies, and priorities are effectively managed.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with leadership.
Analyze project timelines and execution data to identify opportunities for process optimization.
Develop gap analyses and recommendations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of infrastructure deployments.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in technical program management, preferably in IT infrastructure, networking, or security.
Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments, including network security, cloud computing, and infrastructure operations.
Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams in large-scale IT projects.
Ability to assess and mitigate technical and operational risks in complex IT environments.
Strong project management skills with experience using tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting retail IT environments or similar large-scale distributed operations.
Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, IT compliance, and enterprise infrastructure best practices.
Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, ITIL, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus.
