Role Overview:
Capgemini Financial Services is seeking a highly experienced Program Manager - Cloud Migration to lead a large-scale PCF to OpenShift migration program for a top-tier banking client. This is a critical, fixed-price, outcome-based engagement that involves managing a large global team and ensuring the successful end-to-end execution of the program. The Program Manager will be responsible for client stakeholder management, governance, program execution, financials, risk management, and reporting.
This role requires deep expertise in cloud migration, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive complex transformation programs in a highly regulated banking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Execution & Governance:
- Own and drive the PCF to OpenShift migration program, ensuring all milestones, deliverables, and KPIs are met.
- Establish and run governance forums with senior client stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project scope, timelines, and risks.
- Ensure on-time, within-budget delivery of the migration program while maintaining high quality.
- Define and track program success metrics, aligning with business and IT objectives.
- Implement best practices in Agile and DevOps for the migration program.
Stakeholder & Client Management:
- Serve as the single point of contact for all program-related matters.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client executives, technology leaders, and business sponsors.
- Effectively manage expectations and communications with C-level executives, including CIOs and CTOs.
- Act as an advisor to the client on cloud transformation and best practices in OpenShift adoption.
Team Leadership & Delivery Management:
- Lead and manage a large, global, cross-functional team (onshore/offshore).
- Ensure seamless collaboration across multiple teams including cloud architects, migration specialists, DevOps engineers, and application owners.
- Drive operational excellence by implementing robust program tracking and reporting mechanisms.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to the technical and functional teams.
Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks proactively, ensuring business continuity during migration.
- Drive issue resolution and escalate critical blockers to senior leadership with actionable recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulatory requirements and security standards.
Financial & Contract Management:
- Manage program budget, forecasts, and financials, ensuring profitability for Capgemini.
- Ensure adherence to the fixed-price contractual commitments and outcome-based deliverables.
- Optimize resource allocation, cost, and effort estimation to drive efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Program Management & Delivery Expertise:
- 15+ years of experience in IT program management, including large transformation projects.
- Extensive experience managing fixed-price, outcome-based engagements.
- PMP, SAFe, ITIL, or similar certifications are highly desirable.
- Agile/SAFe experience in managing cloud migration programs.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
Technical & Cloud Expertise:
- Proven experience managing large-scale cloud migration programs, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) to OpenShift migrations is a strong plus.
- Deep understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, cloud automation, and containerization.
- Familiarity with cloud service providers like Azure, GCP, or AWS.
Financial Services & Regulatory Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of banking and financial services IT landscapes, security, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with highly regulated environments and banking infrastructure modernization.
Leadership & Communication Skills:
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging with C-level executives.
- Proven ability to lead and influence in a complex, matrixed global organization.
- Ability to navigate challenges, resolve conflicts, and drive alignment among diverse teams.
