SMX is seeking a Technical Program Manager to support the delivery of secure software development and operational capabilities for a Federal customer. This role plays a pivotal part in guiding Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and coordinating across teams and stakeholders using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). As a key program leader, you will help synchronize delivery objectives, manage performance across multiple task areas, and contribute to the successful execution of mission-critical transformation efforts in secure cloud environments. This position is a hybrid role supporting a Hanover, Maryland based team. Essential Duties: Support the overall program manager in executing the scope, schedule, and budget across multiple CLINs and task areas. Serve as a coordination point across Agile Release Trains to manage integrated cost, schedule, and performance objectives. Facilitate alignment of sprint goals, PI planning outputs, and operational metrics to ensure continuous, secure delivery. Oversee daily task execution while monitoring risks, identifying issues, and supporting corrective action plans. Support the management of subcontractors, ensuring performance aligns with expectations and ethical standards. Build and maintain trusted relationships with customer stakeholders through proactive communication and transparency. Provide status reporting, contribute to system demos, and support SAFe ceremonies and governance requirements. Required Skills & Experience: BA/BS in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of experience managing or supporting complex IT programs, with a focus on Agile or SAFe-based delivery. SAFe certification (e.g., SAFe Program Consultant, SAFe Agilist) Hands-on experience supporting Agile Release Trains, PI Planning, and cross-team coordination under the SAFe methodology. Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams or CLINs with strong cost, schedule, and performance control. Strong collaboration, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills. Secret clearance. Desired Skills & Experience Experience supporting secure software development or cloud programs in AWS GovCloud or IL5 environments. Familiarity with RMF, ATO, and federal cybersecurity compliance practices.
