General Summary: Oversees the efficient operation of the Field Operations Department through the supervision and coordination of telecommunication services throughout the assigned service area. Provides technical support, coaching to, and advocates for technicians on all services provided by TruVista. Develops and maintains records to allow reference, analysis and monitoring of Field Operations personnel, components and equipment. Recommends improvements to plant and equipment. Initiates or recommends purchases of equipment, tools and supplies.
Essential Job Functions: The essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervises, trains, and develops a team of IRM field technicians and installation contractors.
- Supervises operations to ensure that all field services projects are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications.
- Assists technicians as needed with installation and repairs.
- Trains technicians on the proper use of all test equipment to ensure standards compliance.
- Performs quality control inspections by reviewing work completed by employees and or sub-contractors.
- Ensures technicians and installation contractors perform all work in a safe manner; Enforces driver safety by monitoring vehicle GPS data - takes corrective action when required.
- Resolves complaints with customers and maintains a good customer relationship.
- Works in conjunction with dispatch to ensure customer installation and repair expectations are met.
- Utilizes reports to ensure technician production metrics are met.
- Makes recommendations for improvements to plant and equipment.
- Ensures technicians have adequate inventory on their truck.
- Works with the director to ensure after-hours call and unplanned time off is disseminated.
- Approves time entry daily.
- Operates a company vehicle.
- Performs all other related duties assigned by management

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience with telecommunications installation/repair required.
- Must be familiar with and have experience with operating a bucket truck.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a safe driving record
- Must be eligible and willing to obtain any required medical certification and/or license needed to operate a commercial vehicle
- Must pass pre-employment background check, to include driver history, medical and drug test, and criminal history.
- Must be capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
- Must be available to work outside normal business hours when necessary
