The business continues to invest and adapt to the ever-changing commercial landscape and is now proud to be the third-biggest food and drink brand in Scotland.


We are looking for a Technical Manager who will work closely with the Technical Director, this is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is currently working as a Specification Technologist or Technical professional and who is ready to take a step into a broader role. The Technical Manager will manage internal and external specification requirements, review packaging copy, and ensure accuracy across product information, a role where attention to detail and proactive thinking are essential.


What you ll be doing:


  • Managing all internal and external customer own-brand specifications
  • Producing back-of-pack content
  • Reviewing and signing off artwork with the Technical and Brand teams
  • Maintaining product data across systems and platforms
  • Supporting allergen management and validations
  • Prepare for and manage audits and internal reviews
  • Participate as an active member of the HACCP team
  • Deputise for the Technical Director when required

What you ll bring:


  • A relevant qualification in Food Science or a related subject
  • Experience in a technical or specification-based role within food manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of packaging and labeling requirements
  • Confidence working with internal teams and external partners
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Good IT skills across Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with large retailers would be an advantage
